On the skin, Tea Tree Oil has antifungal, antiviral and antimicrobial properties and can be used on acneic skins, wounds, such as inflammation around the figernails, etc.
It is a natural essential oil distilled from the Melaleuca alternifolia tree, being used traditionally to treat wounds and skin infections.
Tea Tree Oil has a well-known composition of more than 100 constituents including terpenes, Terpinen-4-ol and α-terpineol being the constituents to which most of the properties of this oil are attributed.
Recent studies have shown that Tea Tree Oil has a wide range of biological properties including antiviral, antifungal and antiseptic effects and that it prevents and helps in treatment against lice (pediculosis) and other parasitic conditions.
Antiparasitic properties: Tea tree oil has been shown to help prevent the spread of lice. Some studies even suggest that it could be used as a natural repellent due to its increased resistance compared to traditionally used compounds. In addition, other studies have shown that it is also effective in treatment against other ocular parasites.
Antifungal properties: scientific studies have shown that Tea Tree Oil is very effective in treating infections caused by fungi, dermatophytes and yeasts. In particular, it has been shown to prevent and help in the treatment of candidiasis caused by excessive growth of the fungus Candida albicans.
Antiviral properties: this product is effective in the treatment of herpes simplex. In addition, scientific studies guarantee its effectiveness against Molluscum contagiosum, a virus that is very widespread and very unpleasant for children.
Antiseptic properties: it has been shown to be effective against most of the bacteria that cause infections such as E. coli or S. aureus.
Instructions for use:
Deposit a few drops on the fingertips and apply to the skin with a gentle massage until fully absorbed.
